Yaese Park alight with lanterns
Yaese Town, located south of Naha near popular sightseeing attraction Okinawa World, was formed in 2006 by merging two local municipalities. Yaese Park, which is home to the Yaese Castle Ruins, is wrapped in a fantastic atmosphere with about 170 lanterns lighting up the cherry trees during the festival. Perched on a hill, the park overlooks a spectacular night view with myriad twinkling lights in the southern part of Okinawa. This is a perfect opportunity to immerse yourself in the ambience of an Okinawan festival.
