Cherry blossom festivals, Okinawan products fairs, and more

With the cherry blossoms beautifully in bloom, winter is starting to fade away in Okinawa; you must be counting down the days until summer comes around. Without cold northern winds blowing across the island, Okinawan winters are relatively mild. This gives you a chance to enjoy exploring nature and other outdoor activities through the months of January and February.

These activities include; the Nago Cherry Blossom Festival, a number of flower-themed events, and the many festivals currently happening around Okinawa. There will be local product fairs taking place in Okinawa City, Tomigusuku City and Kadena Town. These are events that the whole family can enjoy. Providing the perfect opportunity to shop for a wide variety of local specialty items all in one place, they come highly recommended.

Here we’ve put together the events and festivals that you won’t want to miss on Jan. 25 and 26. Have a wonderful weekend!
