Whale watching in Okinawa

Okinawa is one of the best locations in the world for whale watching, and winter is the ideal season for this exciting activity. See humpback whales leap out of the water, known as breaching, and watch them as they swim around the islands in early spring. Over 300 whales migrate to the Kerama Islands to mate and give birth at this time of the year, traveling in the waters surrounding the islands and attracting many spectators. Cerulean Blue now offers a special whale-watching plan especially for military members: A three-hour tour is available twice daily departing at 9:30 and 13:30 from Chatan (Hamagawa fishing port), conveniently located close to Kadena Air Base. (Address: 4 Minato, Chatan)
Please make reservations in advance to ensure space availability. Discounted tour prices are \4,000 for adults (12 years old and above), \2,900 for children ages 5-11 and \1,000 for children 4 and under. In the rare event that no whales are sighted, your ticket will be refunded. Don’t miss the chance to encounter a family of whales swimming by and to view these amazing creatures breaching. Contact Cerulean Blue for more information at 080-3904-3767 from 8:00 to 22:00 daily.
