Restaurants Restaurant Inoh レストラン イノー
After passing the gigantic whale shark sculpture at the entrance of the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium — the number one tourist attraction in Okinawa — immediately on your left is the Inoh restaurant. Located on the fourth floor of the aquarium building overlooking the ocean, Inoh serves breakfast in the morning hours, a buffet-style lunch and an a la carte dinner in a relaxed atmosphere. Featuring typical Okinawan fare such as rafute (simmered pork belly) and champuru (Okinawan stir fry) and more dishes prepared with fresh, locally produced ingredients, the buffet lunch offers something for everyone in the family. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of whales from the restaurant’s huge windows from February through early April.
As the restaurant gets very busy at lunchtime, an early arrival is recommended to avoid waiting. From the window seating you can enjoy a panoramic view of the vast East China Sea. The restaurant is accessible without buying a ticket for the aquarium, and it’s a good place to stop even just for a drink (except during lunch hours).
